1
Put the bike up on the center stand. Clean the back surface of  the stand using WD-40 with a clean rag. Then go over it again with  another clean rag and 409 or Fantastic all purpose cleaner.
2
Lean the bike on the side stand for this step. Push the center stand down and apply a short strip of 1" wide painters masking  tape to the area the center stand that will be contacting the rear shock linkage arm as shown. Pull the stand down slightly, then let it go allowing it to retract back up, letting it lightly tap against the linkage arm.
3
Position the rubber bump stop just to the left of center of  the indication mark. It needs to be slightly left of center of the  linkage arm as shown
4
Using a felt pen, mark the spot to center punch for drilling your pilot hole, then remove the tape. Double check the bumper stop location. The linkage arm should be contacting about 3/4 of the bumpers surface as shown.
5
Check it one more time, move location of center punch if nesassary, then drill your first pilot hole using a new 1/8" bit. The stand material is about 3/8" thick so take your time, dont push to hard while drilling, and drill the hole as straight as possible. Now drill the hole one step larger using a 1/4" bit, then to the final tapping size using the provided 17/64" bit in the kit.
6
Install the provided 5/16" tap in a hand held tapping chuck, then apply a light coat of white grease or tapping fluid to the end as shown. Start tapping the threads being sure to keep the tap as straight as possible. Every full turn or so back off the tap a half turn and start again. Be sure to tap all the way through and to the end of the taps shank. Remove, clean the threads and blow out any remaining chips.
7
Now test fit the rubber bumper stop. Clean up the threads one more time with the tap clean and dry if needed. Apply a few drops of blue thread lock to the threaded post as shown, then install and fully snug by hand only. Note! The rubber bumper may not fully contact the center stand which is fine.
8
Done deal, now proceed installing your Holeshot  slip-on.
