Dale, thanks for a wonderful piece of art. The PS-3 shifter hasn't failed a single time since I installed it. I've got 261 passes with it now. With the old air shifter I had to drain the air kill at least once a month from moisture coming from the onboard compressor; I lost a couple of races when the air kill wouldn't work. That's why I like the PS-3 shifter so much, absolutely no maintenance between rounds!

The mechanical installation was a no-brainer and the electronics even easier with the easy-to-follow instructions and diagrams. Anyone considering buying an air shifter should at least take a look at the PS-3 shifter, there's nothing like it on the market today (and nothing better for that matter).

Here's the result of my second year (ever) at the drag strip:
Eastside Speedway, Waynesboro VA, Motorcycle Champion 1999
New London Drag Strip, Lynchburg VA, Motorcycle Champion 1999
Natural Bridge Drag Strip, Natural Bridge VA, Motorcycle Runner-up 1999
SBRA Motorcycle Champion of Champions Runner-up 1999

The SBRA finals (Southern Bracket Racing Association) was held between eight different tracks from around WV and VA. Runner-up in the Champions Race with a 0.004 red light. Close, but next year!

What can I say! It's been a wonderful year of racing, some luck but mostly hard work at the tree and improved top end tactics. Launching your 1216 kit with your 5.5" extension is about what the Bandit can take without being too nervous in 1st gear and the stock carbs with your stage 2 kit has survived more nitrous backfires than I can count. I tried the Mikuni RS40's at one race but blew the individual pods into pieces and broke one throttle needle so I went back home and installed the stock carbs with your Stage 2 again. Seems that the dual -pod filters can cope with the backfires better than the individual filters and...they're better on the street than the flatslides. More power? Just dial up the Schnitz progressive controller!

I'm proud of racing with Holeshot products on my bike!

Many thanks from "The Swede"

Congratulations Anders. You really did a great job!

Dale,
Odis here from sunny Portland Oregon.I just moved here last June after 45 years of living in the los angeles area. I rave about your products and service to anyone who will listen. Like many of your customers, I have been riding a long time and have owned a bunch of bikes.Your stage 2 system is fantastic. I also installed the PS3 and it worked beautifully from the first push of the button. The higher the revs the better it shifts. I can't tell you enough how happy I am. Thanks?again for the help. I'm sending the pics again but if you don't get them this time I'll print them and send them by mail. Man you must get a lot of e-mail.

Chris Hall - Yamaha FZR 1000

Dear Dale,
Thanks for your assistance in getting the Pushbutton PowerShifter 3 mounted and tuned on my '90 Yamaha FZR 1000. Workmanship on the components is excellent, wiring is straight forward per your circuit diagram, and the product functions as advertised. More than that, it is totally cool.

For sport rides, I get instant upshifts at the press of a button, without using the clutch or modulating the throttle. This allows me to concentrate on the smoothness and steering. I use the product mostly at mid-range throttle and RPMs. There is an occasional missed shift at full throttle and high RPMs, despite much fiddling and tuning, which I believe is due to Yamaha's transmission not being as bulletproof or smooth shifting shifting as Suzuki's or Kawasaki's.

Your loyal customer,
Chris

Burt Proctor - Suzuki Hayabusa

Just thought I would let you know your power shifter 3 works great. It is one of the few things that do what they are supposed to do, the product is great. Dale, I want to thank you for all the help on this set-up and for answering all my questions.

Thanks again,
Burt.

Alan Rothman

Dale, I just wanted to thank you for the help in the installation of the PS3 on the Hayabusa. The busa is a little more complex then regular carbed bikes but you walked me through the install and helped me tune it properly. I haven't track tested the unit yet but on the street, it is great, smooth, fast and reliable, no missed shifts yet!! The quality and craftsmanship of the PS3 is Top Rate. It would be nice if all companies had personal, customer service like Holeshot Performance.

Ed Henderson

Hello, Dale-

Just wanted to send along a short note to tell you what a blast I'm having with the PS-3 on my Bandit 1200. Attached are a couple of photos of the installation; the solenoid and delay box fit with ease under the RH frame cover so I didn't have to give up my toolkit/cellphone storage under the seat. Thanks for the setup tips on the telephone... followed your suggestions and the unit shifted perfectly without any adjustments needed. I'm absolutely amazed at how much easier it is to ride the bike now that I can really focus on the tach... can't wait to get back onto a dragstrip!

Best regards,
Ed

When the Suzuki Hayabusa GSX1300R appeared in 1999 and was voted "Motorcycle of the Year", I knew when I purchased my 2000 Hayabusa I already had a great motorcycle. I not only wanted the fastest motorcycle made, but one that handled extremely well in the corners and also looked good. Since I wanted to be ahead of the competition I called DALE WALKER for his new PS3 totally electric shifter. This shifter is unique in that you hold the throttle wide open and when the tach gets to 10,500rpm you push a button with your left thumb and the shifter automatically goes into the next gear via a cable connected to the shifter. Bucko's Racing Enterprises:

Our 2 busas (Gary-black one, Bucko-blue one) each have the powershifter-3. We use these extensivley on the street, r--ing.... Dale really invented a nice system. I've installed 2 of them on busas, 1 on a zx-12, &1 on a zxr 1100. No air tank, no air comp., no delay time for tank to get pumped back up. Dale's assistance is top notch. We love our shifters and wouldn't have another street- strip bike without one!! The fine cable bracket you can see in the picture was made by a close friend, Phillup & Anthony's Machine Shop. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND this shifter to anyone..,,Purchased,Tested, & Satisfied!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks Dale for all your help and support,
Gary& Bucko

Karl Gunter - Missouri City, Texas

Dale,
My recent ZX-12 PS-3 installation went cautiously because I am not a professional wrench, but your instructions were great and if I had read them more carefully when I started the job, my install would have been even easier.

Bottom line is that my PS-3 is installed and works GREAT. WOT 1-2, 2-3, 3-4 shifts worked flawlessly, and I am sure that 4-5, 5-6 will work equally well, but my public road test site was not the perfect place to try WOT in the higher gears on a Sunday afternoon.

I shift WOT at 11.2k rpm and 1-2, 2-3 shifts both had the rear tire scratching just a bit with a very manageable 5-8" wheelie, in a word, perfect. I will bring it to the track this Sat and see what it does to my ET's but I am very optimistic.

The one piece your kit did not contain was the bracket which lands the cable near the shiftlever. This was solved pretty easily by going to Home Depot and buying a heavy door hinge whose pivot pin is the same diameter as the cable hardware. A little hack-sawing, bending and voila, a slick bracket which bolts under the foot peg mounts. Trick looking set up for $5.

Thanks for engineering and producing a first rate product.

Don Grieco:

I just wanted to say that I have received and installed the PS-3 on my 2000 Yamaha R1. It was much easier to install and setup than any other air shifter that I have put on. My initial outing with the bike was not a very good one. I had just changed the batteries and thought the shifter was taking too much load on the charging system. After 2 passes, my new battery died, and after tracing the problem, it turned out to be a bad connection on the rectifier and the charging system was not working. My next attempt at the strip was great. The shifter worked flawlessly. Now I have the ignition kill dialed in, and I am just writing to thank you for your fast service and a great quality product. I am a very pleased customer.

P.S. Keep up the good work, and once again, thanks!!!

Heather - GSXR-1000

This is my first street bike, so I'm still learning the fundamentals of leaving the starting line. My 1000 still has the stock pipe on it, stock gearing,& NO PC-II. I have lowered it, put on a 4" swingarm & the Dale walker PS-3, which I would recommend for any one. I never have to fill an air tank, or wait for a tank to build enough pressure. It helps me alot, just push the button and it shifts everytime!!!!!! As I said, I'm still learning, but my best time thus far was 10.15@140mph with a 1.92  60' ... I thank Gary,(Landeche's Racing) and Andrew for the clean installation.

Doug DeSeife - Kenosha, Wisconsin

Hey Dale,

Just wanted to say thanks for such a great product you have. The PS-3 is awesome! I did have to fabricate and machine up a few parts since I was putting your PS-3 on a Buell. I just had to make a new shifter arm with a little more throw and incorporated mounting holes for the mores cable and used a 10/32 rod end. I also machined up a billet cable mount to hold it in place. Every thing else was very straight forward. Wiring was a breeze, and only a few passes to dial in the kill box. WOW what a difference in performance. I also mounted the toggle switch in the dash and the delay box behind the windscreen. All in all I'm one very satisfied customer.

Thanks Dale and Hole Shot Performance.

Barry Fiddler - Searcy, Arizona
Dale, I installed your PS3 on my 2003 CBR1100XX that I run on the strip. Just wanted to tip my hat by saying that the PS3 took 4 tenths off my 1000ft and 1/4 mile time slips. Thanks!!
