1. Remove clutch cover.

2. With cover removed note arrow to the top.

3 & 4 Remove clutch spring hat evenly in a crisscross pattern.

5. Carefully install the additional clutch spring lining up the ears with the original.

6. Install two bolts and hand snug only, checking spring ear alignment.

7. Install all hat bolts and snug by hand only until it contacts the hat.

8. Lightly snug all bolts in a even crisscross pattern until seated.

9. Torque bolts to 74 to 80 inch lbs, do not over tighten.

10. Stuff a clean rag over clutch area and remove both dowel pins.

11. Using a new single edge razor blade carefully remove cover gasket.

12. Lightly scrape and clean the gasket surface, go easy.

13 & 14 Carefully remove rag, then vacuum and wipe off any excess gasket material.

15 & 16 Using 400 wet dry sand paper with a shot of WD-40 go over the gasket surface to do the final cleaning.

17. This is what it should look like after wiping with clean rag.

18. Install both dowel pins fully seating.

19. Apply a little grease around the dowel pin area to the side of the gasket that contacts the engine.

20. Install the cover gasket.

21. Prep and clean the cover gasket surface using the same method.

22. Note again that the arrow points to the top when putting on the cover.

23. Carefully Install the clutch cover fully seating on dowel pins.

24. Apply a small drop of blue thread lock to the cover bolts.

25. Install all cover bolts and snug down evenly, or torque to 74 to 80 inch lbs max.

Fill the engine with your favorite motor oil, warm up and check for leaks, then go for a ride and enjoy the new clutch hook up!
